The Diocese, under the care and authority of the Bishop, is the formal unit of organisation for carrying out the mission and ministry of the Anglican Church within our region.

The Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn is a rich and diverse Diocese spanning a large area, including all of the ACT and the south-eastern corner of NSW, extending as far as Wagga Wagga in the west, Marulan in the north and the Far South Coast. Each of these regions have a distinctive history and sense of community.

A key mission imperative of the Diocese has been the development of excellent accessible Anglican schools. The Anglican Schools Commission was established in April 2016 under the provisions of the Anglican Schools Ordinance of the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn 2016.

The Anglican School Googong is owned and operated by the Anglican Diocese of Canberra-Goulburn. This is the fifth school designed, built and operated by the Anglican Diocese of Canberra-Goulburn.

The other schools are: Burgmann Anglican School, The Riverina Anglican College, St Peter’s Broulee and Sapphire Coast Anglican College.
