The latest edition of the Anglican Schools Australia News, features many great stories about Anglican schools across Australia including in this case our own story about one of a number of new Anglican schools due to commence in 2015.
ASA News – October 2014 Edition
The Googong Anglican School is a proud (and very new) member of Anglican Schools Australia (ASA). Anglican Schools Australia plays a crucial role in promoting and celebrating the Christian and Anglican character of our schools. Representing the largest group of schools in the independent (non-Catholic) sector, it is a significant voice in dialogue with the Federal Government at a time when school funding, educational disadvantage, curriculum and chaplaincy are major agenda items.
In August 2015 Canberra (and of course Googong are involved) will be hosting for the first time the annual ASA conference which will bring delegates to our region and our School from across Australia and the world. The conference theme of ‘Emergence: Transforming The World Through Faith And Education’ is very much looking at how we equip our students and school commiunities to take their part in shaping their part of God’s world.
