Chaplaincy

The Chaplain’s focus is to support the students in their social and emotional development as well as share the gospel through Chapel and Christian Inquiry lessons. The Queanbeyan District Anglican Church also supports the school with the provision of additional chaplaincy services to the school community.

Educational Professionals

The school works closely with parents and other educational and medical professionals to provide support for specific students. The school has a number of privately practicing Occupational and Speech therapists who attend the school on a regular basis, providing support for individual students.

Defence Mentor

The Anglican School Googong is fortunate to have a good proportion of Defence families. The school recognises the effects that a military lifestyle has on the children of Australian Defence Force (ADF) Members, and seeks to provide support for these students through the Defence School Mentor. The School’s DSM works to assist families as they negotiate frequent moves, transitions into new communities, long periods of separation from a parent, isolation from extended family support networks and new school experiences. The DSM works to help minimise the social, emotional and educational impacts.

The School’s Defence Mentor can be reached through the school office.
